Sailing along the European coastline from Southampton to Barcelona on the Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas is a foodie and entertainment treat.
There’s always somewhere awesome to eat and an activity to participate in.
Top of our foodie list so far, half way through the journey is the fantabulous Wonderland speciality restaurant. Loosely based on an Alice in Wonderland theme, it’s magical and quite special. One we definitely recommend!
Catch The Dream show in the huge theatre.
Arrive early to get a great seat near the front, relax and enjoy a musical journey with songs you’ll know. This Steampunk inspired Cirque du Soleil style production is a visual delight and you might be like a few of the audience during our showing and leave the theatre in tears. Beautiful!
Don’t forget about the complimentary restaurants. Silk is a perfectly themed Asian restaurant which won’t disappoint, and is our favourite of the restaurants included in the price of the cruise. Others include the Grand restaurant, the American Icon Grill, the pizza parlour, the healthy one and much more.
Activities are non stop, whether you enjoy the North Star which towers above the ship, or relaxing while doing the fun Progressive Quiz in the huge Two70 lounge with the amazing views, or dodgems and roller skating in the Seaplex, or maybe even the climbing wall or learning how to surf. There’s plenty to do!
And there’s stuff for the kids and bigger kids as well! The Panda is a theme, well the ship is moving to China after all. But there are games and fun aplenty on this wonderful technologically advanced ship from the Disney character walk abouts to the Flying Trapeze.
If you haven’t been cruising and want a fun trip with lots to see and do then the huge Ovation or its sister the Anthem are ideal.
We booked ours through the cruise experts Oasis Travel in Northern Ireland. Thanks also to Royal Caribbean for the wifi package to help us tweet, blog and live feed throughout our journey.
